Caderno de Viagens
Illustrations with pilot pen and four books with one poem each, from a sketchbook that was used for a year.
There are short trips and longer ones.
On foot, by bus, by car or by train; I observe.
People, objects, places, details.
I save some by distributing them to boxes in my memory.
Others get stuck there,
as the landscape advances on the other side of the window.
I draw what I see, what surrounds me.
I draw what I dream while thinking wanders at the speed of time.
Ideas, wishes and portraits engraved in black line.

Há viagens curtas e outras mais longas.
A pé, de autocarro, de automóvel ou de comboio; observo.
Pessoas, objetos, lugares, pormenores.
Guardo alguns, distribuindo-os por caixas na minha memória.
Outros ficam presos ali,
enquanto a paisagem avança do outro lado da janela.
Desenho o que vejo, o que me rodeia.
Desenho o que sonho, enquanto o pensamento vagueia à velocidade do tempo.
Ideias, desejos e retratos gravados a linha preta.
Nova folha, nova viagem.
